After five years of NIHR-funded applied health research
aiming to improve the use of antibiotics in primary care, the NIHR TARGET
Programme team would like to share their findings with you and discuss the implications, at a free one-day
implementation event in London.

The day is aimed at
national and regional policy makers, antimicrobial stewardship teams, CCGs,
public health physicians, pharmacists, GPs and primary care nurses who have an
interest in improving antimicrobial stewardship in primary care.

The team, led by Professor Alastair Hay, of University of Bristol and the Respiratory Infections Health Integration Team, will present their research, which focussed on improving the use of
antibiotics for the most common childhood infections managed by the NHS, in
several short presentations and you will be invited to contribute to
discussions to understand how this new research evidence can be used to
optimise the use of antibiotics in the NHS.
