Realising the Value at Penny Brohn UK: Shaping the future of self-management education

Penny Brohn UK’s annual conference brings together healthcare professionals who are interested in survivorship of long-term conditions. It is designed to share best practice and showcase their work in the area of self-management education.

Penny Brohn UK is the partner site for self-management education in NHS England’s Realising the Value programme. Through Realising the Value, Penny Brohn UK will influence the implementation of NHS England’s Five Year Forward View, through person-centred and community-based approaches to health and wellbeing. This conference will look at the future of self-management services in the UK and will include experts from NHS England, Nesta and Penny Brohn UK.

Key note speakers are Professor Alf Collins, doctor, commissioner, researcher and national policy advisor in person-centred care, and Ian Benson, Head of Person Centred Care and Self-Care, NHS England. They will be giving a national perspective on local solutions.

There will also be opportunities to interact with other key leaders in the field, exploring what self-management education and the Realising the Value programme means to you in your own working practice.

They are offering limited spaces with B&B in an ensuite bedroom at their National Centre for £124.
