The Child Injury Health Integration Team (CIPIC HIT) is holding this event which aims to agree how we are going to work together to deliver the recommendations arising from the Health Needs Assessment on child injuries.

Did you know that 10 children attend urgent care settings in Bristol every week following a head injury? Or that hot drinks are the biggest cause of burns and scalds in children: every fortnight three or more children are treated for these injuries by our burns team. Or that every week 1-2 children are seen by the burns team with a scald from a hot drink spill?

Come along to this event to find out more about the burden of injuries to children and young people in Bristol and work with us to plan how we can prevent these injuries.

As part of the event you will have the opportunity to take part in a discussion group on tackling injuries that occur at different ages. When you register you will be asked for your first and second preference for the age group discussion that you would most like to join:

  • Pre-birth
  • Pre-school (0-4y)
  • Primary school age (5-11y)
  • Secondary school age (12-18y)
  • No preference
