The festive season can be a tough time of year, so we’re raising money for two local suicide prevention organisations with this fundraiser. Join us for a screening of a mystery festive film (can you guess what it is?), popcorn, pancakes and chat.
Everybody is welcome. Tickets are free with a suggested donation of £4 (£2 concessions) on the night, raising much needed funds for suicide prevention work in the local area. And if you can't make it on the night, you can donate anyway.
Self Injury Support helps women and girls who are self-harming, or considering doing so. Their work includes a phone line and text message service for women and girls and training for professionals. They have seen a 20% increase in the use of their services in just six months.
South West Zero Suicide Collaborative brings together people who have tried to take their own lives and those who have been bereaved by suicide, to work with people in the NHS, in local authorities, and other local groups and organisations. They are working towards a future where no one takes their own life.
This event is organised by the Improving Care in Self-Harm Health Integration Team (STITCH HIT).
