Andrea Young, Chief Executive, North Bristol NHS Trust and Chair of the Bristol Health Partners AHSC Board

Andrea has been Chair of the Bristol Health Partners Board since 2014 and CEO at North Bristol NHS Trust since 2013. Previously she was Regional Director for NHS England (South) and has nearly 20 years of experience at CEO level across all sectors of the NHS. Originally qualified as a nurse and midwife, Andrea started her NHS management career in public health and primary care. She loves Bristol, its people and diversity of thought. Andrea was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Law by University of West of England in 2019 for services to the community.






David Wynick, Director, Bristol Health Partners AHSC and Joint R&D Director for University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and North Bristol NHS Trust

David is Professor of Molecular Medicine (University of Bristol) and Consultant in Pain Medicine (University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust). His research has validated a number of novel targets for neuropathic pain, he was cited as one of the top 60 entrepreneurial scientists in the UK and is translating his findings into preclinical drug development in collaboration with LifeArc. He co-led on the formation of Bristol Health Partners in 2012 and chairs the R&D subgroup of the University Hospitals Association.









Lisa King, Chief Operating Officer, Bristol Health Partners AHSC

Since graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Genetics, Lisa has delivered programmes which provide research and development support and funding for businesses and universities, with a particular focus on start-ups and industry/academia collaborative projects. As part of the Enterprise Europe Network, Lisa helped start-ups and SMEs innovate and grow on an international scale. In 2013, Lisa joined a small team of flexible, deployable Senior Programme Managers at the University of Bristol and was tasked with supporting the set-up and development of the Bristol Health Partners collaboration. Lisa moved into the COO role in 2018 and is excited to be part of the Partnership's continuing evolution as an Academic Health Science Centre.
