Health and social care commissioners hear about HITs at special seminar

17 February 2019

Health and social care commissioners came together at City Hall for a special seminar to hear about the work of Health Integration Teams (HITs), which was attended by over 60 people. The event was part of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG CCG) Research & Evidence Team's regular lunchtime seminar series.

The event on 14 January focused on the work of Bristol Health Partners HITs working on public health and community-based support initiatives.

Bristol Health Partners Health Integration Teams (HITs) offer the chance for health and care professionals, patients, members of the public, commissioners, local government, third sector organisations and researchers to work together on pressing health challenges to improve health outcomes across BNSSG.

Presentations featured projects and programmes of work being undertaken by four Health Integration Teams and were followed by a Q&A panel discussion chaired by Terry Dafter, Service Director Care and Support – Adults, Bristol City Council.

Copies of the presentations are available on the BNSSG CCG website.
