Bristol Health Partners and the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute are creating an inventory of information sources that can uncover stories about health and wellbeing in our city. For instance:

  • How can sharing information transform care for homeless people?
  • What happened to the ‘Children of the 90s’ that were in care?
  • How can a patient’s GP record be linked safely with their hospital doctors?

This workshop will explore real world examples of what happens to information about people’s health and our local health and care services. With you, we’ll discuss the big opportunities and big challenges related to the use of data.

At the session, we’ll learn about the inventory’s development, and hear from local experts about how health data is used to plan and deliver services, and carry out health research. There will be panel presentations followed by round table discussions about how our region’s data is currently used, and how it may be increasingly effectively used in the future.

This event is part of Digital Bristol Week, in association with the BBC Academy.
