This Avon Primary Care Research Collaborative (APCRC) seminar and discussion will be presented by Jo Bangoura, Evaluation & Commissioning Liaison Manager and Improvement Lead, West of England Academic Health Science Network.

Jo joined the NHS in 2004, working at Bristol Primary Care Trust (PCT) as a Service Improvement Manager, but also in other roles, including Primary Care Locality Support, Cancer Commissioning Manager and Performance Manager. She subsequently worked as an Operational Manager in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and then St Michael’s Hospital, Bristol (Women’s Services).

Jo started in her current role as Evaluation and Commissioning Liaison Manager in November 2015. In this post, funded jointly by NIHR CLAHRC West and the West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), her remit is to support the seven member clinical commissioning groups to routinely use evidence in decision-making, including evaluation of services where no evidence already exists.

Jo will talk about the successful training programme she has co-run, and share new online training resources. There will be time for discussion.
