Recent reports have highlighted the growing importance of managing people with multiple long-term conditions, or ‘multimorbidity’. There is a consensus that care should be more patient-centred rather than disease focused. However there is very little evidence about the effectiveness of these ideas.

Chris Salisbury and his team conducted the 3D trial to implement and evaluate a patient-centred approach to managing multimorbidity. In this session Chris will present the results of the trial, discuss how they should be interpreted, and consider the implications for future care.

Facilitated by Chris Salisbury, Professor of Primary Health Care, University of Bristol.

This lunchtime seminar is brought to you by the Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire Research and Evidence Team.
