The day was a chance for people working in immunisations in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire to find out about BIG HIT’s work and its plans for the year ahead.
There were presentations about:
The HPV vaccine: working together from Harri Fisher (University of Bristol) and Marsha (Caafi Health) highlighted the new HPV Inform website with resources on the HPV vaccine for teenagers, parents and teachers
The MMR-V vaccine: what are the changes and why? from Marion Roderick (University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust) looked at the addition of the varicella vaccine (chickenpox) to the childhood immunisation schedule.
What matters and how do you measure it? from Sarah Denford (University of Bristol), focused on making evaluation meaningful and useful for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.
Thanks to all speakers, to HIT co-director Dr Ilhem Berrou (University of the West of England) for facilitating the breakout sessions, and to Camille Aubry for capturing the day’s themes through live illustration.
