Join other parents and carers to build knowledge, confidence, and practical communication skills to help you support a young person who may be self-harming or experiencing emotional distress.
The session, which is open to all parents and carers, will be delivered online via Zoom by an experienced trainer. Topics covered will include:
- Signs and indicators an individual may be self-harming
- What can lead to self-harm
- Broaching suspected self-harm
- How to respond to self-harm disclosures/discovery of self-harm
- Phrases/language to be aware of
You will be emailed the Zoom meeting link prior to the session. A feedback evaluation will be shared following the training.
