This year the Stroke HIt is exploring cognitive communication disorder (CCD). CCD can affect up to 70% of people after a stroke and describes how cognition challenges can impact everyday communication.
This FREE event is designed for Nursing and Allied Health Care Professionals working with people affected by stroke, at any point in their stroke journey from hyperacute care to living with stroke in the community.
Equally, any registered health care practitioner with an interest in working with people after stroke in health and social care would find this study day informative.

The day will bring together health care professionals who work across the stroke pathway and will be encountering people with cognitive communication disorders.
The event will enable delegates to learn and discuss from others how best they can support these individuals and the issues they face from arrival in A&E to years post stroke. You should leave feeling you have tangible knowledge and tools to be more confident when communicating with people with CCDs.
