Value for money assessment of walking and cycling

SHINE HIT director Adrian Davis has assessed the economic value of walking and cycling interventions in the UK. This work was commissioned by the Department for Transport.

Adrian Davis, Public Health and Transport Consultant at Bristol City Council and one of the directors of the Supporting Healthy, Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments Health Integration Team (SHINE HIT) has assessed the economic value of walking and cycling interventions in the UK. This work was commissioned by the Department for Transport.

The looks at the evidence available in relation to walking and cycling projects across the UK, assessing the health outcomes, as well as the economic impact, from these interventions.
