The National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care West (NIHR CLAHRC West) has produced a video explaining what a CLAHRC is, and what they do.

The video features local health and care leaders, including NIHR CLAHRC West Director Jenny Donovan, North Bristol Trust’s Chief Executive Andrea Young, Director of Public Health for South Gloucestershire Council and CLAHRC West Chair Mark Pietroni, Chair of Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group Martin Jones and the University of the West of England’s Vice Chancellor Steve West. England’s Chief Medical Officer Professor Dame Sally Davies also features, speaking at the launch of CLAHRC West on 26 November, describing why the NIHR decided to set up CLAHRCs in the first place.

CLAHRCs are funded by the NIHR to undertake quality health research and translate it into practice. For more insight, watch the video:
