University of Edinburgh Professor of Landscape Architecture Catharine Ward-Thompson will give the keynote speech at our Supporting Healthy Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments (SHINE) Health Integration Team launch event. Her talk will be on using local neighbourhood environments to support health.

The launch will be on the morning of Thursday 26 September at City Hall in Bristol. It’s taking place from 9.45am – 12.00pm, followed by lunch.

It will also include interactive sessions covering significant health and inclusion issues and actions taking place in our neighbourhoods, including healthy ageing, social isolation, access to healthy food, neighbourhood planning and transport.

The event is open to all and we encourage community leaders, researchers, practitioners and policy makers who are using, or would like to use, place-making, planning and transport to support healthy and inclusive neighbourhood environments to attend.
