Bluebell, a charity based in Bristol supporting families who are affected by antenatal or post-natal depression has been awarded £165,130 from the Big Lottery Fund to open a central Bristol hub. The hub, called Bluebell Place, will be opening in the new year.

The funding will be used to lease and redecorate a high street property that will become a central Bristol hub, cafe, shop, drop-in and meeting place for parents affected by perinatal mental illness. There will be a whole menu of activities and workshops available for both mums and dads, many of which will be creative and involve lots of the parents that Bluebell have supported over the years.

The main aim will be to provide a space where parents can go for support and spend time with people who understand what they are going through, something that many of the mums and dads Bluebell have worked with really value.
