SHINE HIT’s Marcus Grant has written a blog for the British Medical Journal on the influence of our everyday environment, our neighbourhoods, towns, and cities, on our health. The issues Marcus raises in his blog will be explored in depth at the SHINE HIT’s official launch on 26 September at Bristol City Hall.

The blog forms part of the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare’s build up to a major European conference looking at Pathways to Sustainable Healthcare in Oxford in September 2013.

Marcus Grant is deputy director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Urban Environments, University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. He is also the lead for the Supporting Healthy Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments (SHINE) Health Integration Team for Bristol Health Partners.
