MOVE HIT's Mel Falk elected to Association for Chartered Physiotherapists on Neurology board

Neuro-physiotherapist Melanie Falk has been elected to the board of the Association for Chartered Physiotherapists on Neurology (ACPIN). ACPIN is the association for those who specialise in rehabilitation and therapy for such complex conditions as stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, spinal injury, motor neurone disease and many more.

Mel is a Specialist Neurophysiotherapist with University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, She is on the executive team of the Parkinson’s and other Movement Disorders Health Integration Team (MOVE HIT). She specialises in the treatment of Parkinsons and works in neuro out patients at South Bristol Community Hospital.

The election took place on Thursday 23 March at the ACPIN 2017 annual conference. A paralympian whose life was transformed by neuro-physiotherapy, and the professionals who coached and cared for her, were among the many people from round the world making presentations.
