Welcome to our two new Project Managers, Jan and Oliver

  • 17th February 2016

Two new Project Managers, Jan Connett and Oliver Watson, have this week joined the Bristol Health Partners core team. They will be working
closely with Health Integration Team (HIT) Directors, and clinical and academic
colleagues, to plan and deliver the HIT programmes. They will also play a lead role in the planning, development
and delivery of the Bristol Health Partners strategic work programmes.

Oliver joins us from the Higher Education Funding Council for
England, where he was giving policy advice to higher education institutions and managing a
review of funding. He has also worked at the Medical Schools
Council Group, where his role was in
giving policy advice and project management support to members. He has a Masters from the
University of Bristol in Social and Cultural Theory and his first degree was in
Social Policy at the University of York. And in his spare time he loves to
walk and play music: at the moment, he’s (slowly) trying to learn to play the
banjo!

Jan has recently worked for Bristol Public Health,
co-ordinating the city’s Dementia Inclusion Programme, finding ways to break
down the stigma and barriers that dementia can cause for people. Jan has co-led the Dementia
Friendly Communities workstream of the Dementia HIT for the last two years,
and she is looking forward to applying similar
collaborative approaches to new areas of work for Bristol Health Partners. She has arrived at this point in her career via teaching,
production engineering, community development, adult social care – and building
a house – giving her plenty of perspectives on which to draw.

We welcome them both to the team!
