Shoulder pain is a common problem for stroke survivors. It can happen for many reasons and range from a short-term nuisance to a chronic debilitating condition. This session will explore the common reasons why shoulder pain may develop post stroke, look at ways in which to manage and prevent it and where to go if this management or prevention doesn’t work.
This session will be completed by James Hinder, a trainee advanced clinical practitioner working on the stroke rehabilitation ward in South Bristol community hospital. He is a Physiotherapist by background who has over 8 years’ experience of working in Stroke and currently runs his own private neuro physiotherapy business.
