The cot death story and the power of observation: public lecture

Pete Blair is Professor of Epidemiology and Statistics at the University of Bristol.

In his inaugural lecture, Pete explores the fall in the number of cot deaths in England and Wales, from around 1,500 every year the 1980s, to around 200 today. The story of this fall is about the power of evidence-based observation and empowering parents to make informed choices to help keep their baby safe.
