The Physiotherapy Pain Association’s (PPA) course, an introduction to the cognitive-behavioural (CB) approach to the management of pain. This two-day course, run by PPA in collaboration with Pain Training and Education, will be delivered by Dr Pete Gladwell of the Integrated Pain Management Health Integration Team (IPM HIT) and Emma Bartlett.

This course introduces the theory and evidence base for the CB approach. The biopsychosocial assessment of musculoskeletal pain is linked to individualised treatment planning and there is emphasis on practical skills development. This course is suitable for physiotherapists aiming to enhance their knowledge and develop skills in psychologically informed physiotherapy practice.

The course fee, which includes tea and coffee and buffet lunch on both days is £200 for PPA members, or £220 for non-members.
