ALIBSA (Ageing Lifestyle in Blacks and Asians) launches its 2026 webinar series with a pioneering, continent bridging session: ‘Breaking the Silence Across Boundaries (Bristol, UK and Lagos, Nigeria): Building HIV-Free Generations’.

A first-time collaborative presentation brings together Common Ambition Bristol (CAB) and the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) to deliver key messages on HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. Drawing on best practices from their distinct yet connected contexts of Bristol, UK and Lagos, Nigeria to share evidence-informed learning and vital HIV knowledge.

Bristol and Lagos are both Fast-Track Cities, part of a global partnership led by IAPAC, UNAIDS, UN-Habitat, and the City of Paris, working towards zero new HIV infections and zero AIDS-related deaths. This collaboration demonstrates the potential of ‘gLocal’ partnerships to strengthen HIV responses, particularly in tackling HIV stigma within communities most affected by the epidemic.

Join us to learn, share, and be part of building HIV-free generations.

Matthew Wilson, Common Ambition Bristol Co-ordinator, says:

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to collaborate with ALIBSA and LSACA to educate and empower our communities to take control of their sexual health, particularly in the run-up to the UK’s National HIV Testing Week.
