Researcher coffee catch-up: Antibiotic-resistant bacteria in long term care facilities

About the event

The number of people living in care homes is expected to double in the next 20 years and the role that a care home environment plays in transmission, or preventing the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria is not well understood.

The aim of this work is to investigate the role of the built environment, specifically water systems, in the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in care homes for older adults and to generate pragmatic solutions to reduce the risk of spread.

Join People in Health West of England (PHWE) for this researcher coffee catch-up, ask questions, give feedback and engage with research projects happening in your local area.
