Making Research Matter: Trauma-informed ways of working together
9.30 am – 4.15 pm, followed by a reception for those able to stay 4.15 – 5.30 pm
People in Health West of England (PHWE) is excited to launch a new regional conference that aims to support, celebrate, and promote ways that researchers and health professionals can work together with communities to make health and care research better.
The South West Co-Production in Health Research Conference 2026 will bring together community members, practitioners, public contributors, charities, researchers, clinicians, and organisations who want to change how health and care research is designed, carried out, and shared.
Call for ideas
The programme will use creative methods to highlight innovative partnerships, trauma-informed ways of working, and participatory approaches that make research more accessible, relevant, and useful for the people it is meant to benefit.
Want to have your say on what the programme will look like?
PHWE is inviting people, teams of people, and organisations to submit an idea for:
- a hands-on, fully engaged round-table activity with lots of time to talk, listen and learn;
- a health and wellbeing talk aimed at your community;
- an idea for the Engagement Hub (poster, information stall, leaflet, video or something completely different that will engage the audience!)
The call for IDEAS is NOW OPEN and closes 1 June 2026 at 11pm.
Go to the website for further information or contact PHWE with any questions.
