No, really it’s about the health of the community: The tale of Lawrence Weston Community Hub

Lawrence Weston, like many other post war local authority housing estates, has fallen on less prosperous times as social change accelerated. Isolated from the prosperity of central Bristol, this community of 7,100 people with poor health outcomes is attempting to bring about change for itself by working with local GPs, Bristol City Council and Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group.

Through the leadership of Ambition Lawrence Weston the plan is to develop the new model of care envisaged in NHS Five Year Forward View and deliver significant improvements for their community.

They want to see a step change in the health and wellbeing of its families, friends and neighbours.

Refreshments from 7.30am, for an 8am start.
