Have you heard rumours about psychedelic drugs being used to treat mental health problems such as trauma and depression? Have you wondered whether it’s possible to use virtual reality to help with social anxiety or other fears? Do you ever wonder about the evidence for what we do in mental health and whether this is changing in the 21stCentury?

The AWP Research Matters 2020 Conference on Wednesday, 5th February at Bristol Pavillion Gloucestershire County Cricket Club will deal with these and other issues in mental health research. In particular we are looking at the impact of research on those who design and run studies, those who participate and on those who ultimately benefit – all of us. Join the R&D Department and research colleagues for a day involving talks and workshops on a range of topics including psychosis, eating disorders, dementia, anxiety, depression, autism and personality disorder. We will hear from service users, clinicians and researchers on interventions from medical to psychological and technological.
