This Avon Primary Care Research Collaborative lunchtime seminar is focused on presenting the evidence for self-management education in the context of cancer survivorship services at Penny Brohn UK. It will be presented by Dr Helen Seers, Research and Evaluation Lead, Penny Brohn UK.

In 2016, Helen co-led Penny Brohn UK’s contribution to the Realising the Value project, a great example of knowledge mobilisation in action.

Funded by NHS England and delivered by Nesta and the Health Foundation, this project looked at the evidence for person- and community-centred approaches and worked with five frontline sites across England.Tools, recommendations and economic modelling were produced to show how these services can be successfully implemented.Penny Brohn UK was chosen as the partner site for self-management education, due to its high quality services and impact and evaluation work.

Feel free to bring your lunch with you.
