Latest paper says the NHS needs to work more effectively with analysts to maximise the potential of its data

In the latest paper to be published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, more than 20 data experts working in the NHS and health and care environment conclude that there are currently missed opportunities in the potential usage of NHS data.

The paper, ‘Bringing NHS data analysis into the 21^st century’, looks at the ways data analysis can be more of a collaboration between academics, clinicians and the analytics workforce. By identifying priority actions for a range of organisations, the paper provides a clear case for and route to improving support for the NHS analytic workforce.

As part of our Using Data Better programme, Bristol Health Partners helped contribute local insights to the paper.
