New Dementia HIT co-director appointed

Dr Sam Creavin is a new co-director for the Dementia HIT.

As an NIHR Senior Clinical Practitioner Research Fellow and Clinical Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Bristol, Sam’s experience in dementia research focuses on  diagnostic accuracy, health inequalities and service delivery.

Sam is passionate about translating research into practice, fostering partnerships across academia, the NHS, voluntary sector organisations and service users, and engaging with diverse communities.

He says:

“The Dementia HIT plays a vital role in shaping dementia care across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. I am honoured to be working alongside my fellow co-directors to strengthen the HIT’s research impact, support innovation and ensure that our work reflects the lived experiences of people with dementia and their carers.”

Sam joins Isobel Jones, Gary Christopher and Virginia Wild on the HIT’s leadership team.
