  • 12th August 2022

Bristol’s Common Ambition project has been featured on a BBC Radio 1Xtra podcast.

The episode of ‘If You Don’t Know’ discusses some of the reasons why sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are higher among Black people. It includes an interview with Aisha Namurach who co-ordinates the community-led Common Ambition project, which is supported by Bristol Health Partners Sexual Health Improvement (SHIP) Health Integration Team.

Common Ambition is working with African and Caribbean heritage communities in Bristol to reduce HIV diagnosis, stigma, and generally improve sexual health.

Their work includes a pop-up sexual health clinic for people from African and Caribbean heritage communities and a new website providing essential information about HIV and other STIs.
