Dr Peter Goyder becomes ITHAcA HIT new Co-Director

Dr Peter Goyder, Urgent Care Clinical Lead at Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group, has been appointed as the new Co-Director of ITHAcA HIT. Peter will be working alongside Sarah Purdy, the current ITHAcA HIT Director.

Dr Peter Goyder, Urgent Care Clinical Lead at Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group, has been appointed as the new Co-Director of ITHAcA HIT. Peter will be working alongside Sarah Purdy, the current ITHAcA HIT Director, who has recently taken up her new role at the University of Bristol as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Peter has been a Bristol GP for almost 25 years. He has been involved with primary care groups (PCGs), primary care trusts (PCTs) and more recently Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), initially as clinical governance lead but then in multiple roles. He has been involved in clinically led service redesign including dermatology, musculoskeletal and respiratory services. Over the past five years he has been Urgent Care Clinical Lead for Bristol CCG and chairs the Bristol Urgent Care Working Group. Peter also sits on the Severn Urgent Care and Emergency Network. He is also Chair of the Trustees of St Peter’s Hospice.
