There are a number of health research focused courses running in Bristol over the next few months that are aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers and public health practitioners.

There are a number of courses running in Bristol over the next few months that are aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers and public health practitioners.

CLAHRC West courses

CLAHRC West are offering a number of courses as part of their training and capacity building programme:

Short courses at the School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol

The School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol are also offering two short courses, running on 3 and 4 February.

The first one, ‘Appraising evidence for healthcare practitioners‘, is geared towards health care practitioners and health service researchers and it looks at the evidence based medicine domains. The course running on 4 February, ‘Appraising epidemiological studies‘, is focused on aetiological epidemiological studies and is aimed at researchers with a basic understanding of observational epidemiological research methods.

The courses are free for public health trainees. Local NHS staff only pay 50 per cent of the course fees.
